Jumpstart Jr. was founded in The Netherlands in 2006 and is the custodian of a unique collection of historical string instruments crafted by old masters and selected by leading baroque players. Jumpstart Jr. aims to identify the best young players who have already completed a musical education and are recognised to become leading performers. Apart from a high quality string instrument (on loan) the Jumpstart Jr. programme consists of career-related coaching, access to an extensive international network and participation in special projects.

Our Mission

To support young musicians with outstanding talent by offering them a specially designed programme that consists of high quality instruments, coaching and a network consisting of musicians, artistic directors, conductors and promoters.

 

 

Our Focus

We support young, gifted and ambitious musicians worldwide, who play gut stringed violins or cellos and who seriously dedicate themselves to the historical performance of baroque, classical and/or early romantic music.
