Gagliano, Januarius 1732

Januarius (Gennaro) Gagliano worked circa. 1730-1780 in Napels Italy.  He was the second son of Alessandro Gagliano and possible the best craftsman of the family.
This instrument in in a fine state of preservation.  It retains it’s original neck and has a one piece back.  The varnish has a beautiful gold-orange color.
This violin is a fine example of his work.
